Shakti translates to power or energy in common terms. This energy belongs to the domain of “Prakriti” or the female aspect of creation. She is the Mother Goddess and is worshiped on various occasions around Hindu customs. It refers to the energy of creation at both macro-cosmic and micro-cosmic scales.
In relation to God or the masculine principle beyond all vibratory creation, Shakti is the universal creative force, also known as Maha Shakti or Adi Shakti.
Shakti encompasses the three gunas: Tamo, Rajo, and Sattva gunas. In the aspects of Tamo and Rajo gunas, she manifests outwardly as duality. The outward creativity forces one toward delusion, so Shakti, in this aspect, is a cosmic delusion.
However, Shakti inwardly orients one toward the divine in the aspect of sattva guna. Hence, here is the Collection of Powerful Shakti Mantras to pray and meditate.
